Love, love, love this drink and have it quite a lot in the evenings. Not only is it one one the best drinks to warm you up during the winter months but it also boasts huge anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer benefits. It’s so quick and easy to make that there’s no reason not to have it:-)
Ingredients:
1-cup almond or coconut milk
½ tsp. turmeric
1 cinnamon stick
½ inch ginger, chopped
½ tsp. freshly ground black pepper
5 cardamom pods
1 tsp. honey (optional)
Directions:
- Pour the milk into a small saucepan
- Add all the ingredients and heat up until hot but not boiling, this should take about 5 – 7 minutes on medium heat
- Pour the milk through a sieve into your favorite mug and enjoy!
