Cacao-berry Smoothie

Smoothie for energy boost, high in antioxidants, protein, vitamins and minerals.

1 cup coconut water   Unknown

Handful kale

1 banana

1 cup goji berries

1 tbsp cacao powder

1 tbsp. hemp seeds

Kale is rich in calcium, lutein, iron and vitamins A and k. it is also rich in vitamins C, E and fibre.

Bananas are rich in potassium which is essential for proper muscle contraction, keeps the heart and nervous system in good shape. Bananas are also rich in vitamin B6. Research has shown that eating two bananas provides energy for a 90-minute workout.

Goji berries are rich in antioxidants and carotenoids. Goji can help strengthen immune system and heart, help support normal liver and kidney function, strengthen muscles and bones, improve digestion and help you get a good night’s sleep.

Cacao contains the highest concentration of antioxidants of any food in the world. They also contain magnesium, iron, zinc, manganese, vitamin C, serotonin, tryptophan, copper and Omega-6 fatty acids. All the good nutrients the body needs to stay health and energised.

Hemp seeds are one of the best sources of plant protein. It contains 35% protein, 47% fat and 12% carbohydrate. They contain all the essential amino acids and essential fatty acids necessary to maintain a healthy body. They are one of the best sources of complete protein.
