2014-09-15 10.27.46Found this yummy recipe on MindBodyGreen but I have flipped it slightly to suit me. Turmeric is one spice that has huge anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer properties which is pretty awesome. i have used just a couple of dates as I’m trying to keep the sugar content really low.

1 cup unsweetened, plain almond milk (or coconut, hemp or rice milk)
3-4 ice cubes
1/2 tsp. organic turmeric powder
1 tsp. organic coconut oil
Generous dash of vanilla

Handful sunflower seeds

1 tsp flaxseed
2 dates
Dash of cinnamon

Directions

Place all ingredients in a blender. Add ice.

Blend on high for 40 seconds until thoroughly mixed and ice has been crushed.

Pour into a tall cup, sprinkle with your favorite spices, and enjoy!
